seconds to minute of receiving the check data! Checks Only has implemented proprietary
security features to help prevent and reduce fraudulent transactions, and has also
implemented proprietary mistake and error check features to help prevent and reduce
data input errors. Our sophisticated system verifies that the Bank Routing Number is from
a valid Bank and that it is in compliance with the ABA rules. Also, we log the Date Stamp
and IP#'s of all users and non-users who are sending or receiving instant check payments.
All users accessing the system must have a valid email address, and during data entry,
various features are implemented to insure that the entered data is correct. And, all
instant check payments produced are stamped with the time, date, email address, and IP# of
the user. While we have done much to protect our users from error and fraudulent
transactions, we do recommend that anyone receiving an instant check payment to exercise
due diligence. If you want to protect yourself, and help prevent any errors or fraudulent
activity. Take a second to examine the information on the check payment to see if it looks
accurate, and verify it with the sender. And, verify the account information and the funds
with the bank, which the check payment is drawn on. Just call the bank and tell them you
would like to do a "merchant check verification". Give them the account
information and the amount. They will tell you, not only if the information is accurate,
but, also if the funds are currently available in that account. We have processed instant
check payments without checking with the bank, and have had relatively little problems. It
depends on some factors, like if we know the customer, or not! Or, if the information on
the check payment looks false, or incorrect. Or, if we feel the amount needs to be
verified before delivering the merchandise. It's a call you'll need to make, but
fortunately, there are way more honest people than dishonest people. And, processing
transactions using instant checks payments are simple, safe, and relatively trouble free.
You can probably expect the same amount of fraudulent activity taking instant check
payments, as you would accepting credit cards. Which says, you are missing profits if you
do not accept instant check payments. The rewards are far greater than the risk!
